ACORN COMICS STATEMENT OF CORE VALUES

Acorn Comics exists to put exciting new comics into the world and to provide a platform for talented creators who may not otherwise have one. At Acorn Comics, we love comics as a medium and are firm believers in the beauty and the strength of the comics community as well as the creative works that we all help bring into the world. That leaves a lot of room for different personalities, methods, perspectives, and opinions.

That being said, we also understand the “paradox of tolerance” and are acutely aware of current technology that was created by stealing from the community we love. So from the very beginning we want to make two things abundantly clear:

• Acorn Comics will never knowingly work with or support any creator who identifies with or supports the hate group known as ComicsGate (or any similar or related group); and

• Acorn Comics will never knowingly work with or support any creator who utilizes “generative AI” to produce their work.

If we learn that any creator on our projects violates any of our core principles we will investigate the situation and take appropriate action to protect the integrity of our projects and live up to our values.
